Experienced in effectively leading diverse teams in cross-functional, international environments with a strong belief in personal success through enabling the success of others.After a short tenure as an academic assistant at the Law Faculty of the University of Ghent in 1989, I started as a junior in-house counsel for the international commercial group of telecommunications company Alcatel in Antwerp in 1990 (Now Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia). After military service, in 1992 I became a consultant with one of the Belgian subsidiaries of SGS where I advised various small and mid-sized and some major industrial companies on safety, health and environment regulations. In 1994 I joined the Janssen law department in Beerse, Belgium as legal counsel and later moved to the J&J corporate law department in Brussels. During 20 years I had the pleasure of working with J&J businesses in various regions and across different sectors (Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices). In 2008 I moved back to Janssen Campus Belgium. I now lead the Janssen Campus Belgium legal affairs group and serve as board attorney on the Janssen Management Board. I am actively involved in Campus initiatives for open innovation and the execution of the campus strategy.In addition, from 2014 to mid 2017, I was lead attorney for the the Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain and Procurement groups in EMEA and APAC and acted as board attorney for the global Janssen Supply Chain. From August 2017 until June 2019 i was VP Law at Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a J&J affiliate, with headquarters in Allschwil, Switzerland, that was acquired in June 2017. I was part of the global Actelion Leadership Team, headed the legal team in Switzerland and Japan and lead the legal integration workstream.In May 2019 I returned to Belgium and took on a new role as VP regulatory Law for EMEA and APAC, leading a team of regulatory attorneys and paralegals in Belgium, UK, Switzerland, France, Ireland, Singapore and China who provide specialist legal support to our businesses cross-sector. I continue in my role for Campus Belgium.
