Responsibilities: My research involved, finding the association between the gut immune system and the gut microbiome; in relation to autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes, and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis. Administration of selective gut microbes to restore immune conditions and dysbiosis in autoimmune animal models. Using many mouse models of autoimmunity like rheumatoid arthritis, Non-obese diabetic, dilated cardiomyopathy, and smoke-related lung pathology. Investigation of novel next-generation probiotics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.

Responsibilities 1: Worked on validating the micro-fabricated device for impedance-based electronic detection of food and environmental bacteria. Developing a simple and rapid immune-fluorescence technique for the Identification of food born bacterial pathogens (especially for E. coli (O157:H7, O104:H4 and O111:H8), Campylobacter jejuni, Shigella, Listeria and Salmonella); using a novel magnetic bead coated with immunoglobulin binding protein for rapid immobilization of desired antibody. Increasing the specificity and quantification sensitivity of spectrofluorometric MUG (4-methylumbelliferyl-β-D-galactopyranoside) assay (for MUG positive enteric bacteria) using specific antibody for the purification of desired bacteria (producing β-galactosidase).Responsibilities 2: Isolation and characterization of microalgae from midwest USA / maintaining culture collection for microalgae / screening of microalgae for biotechnological potentials / improving outdoor mass cultivation technologies for microalgae.
