As a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Scientist, I am passionate about using my education and experience to address environmental challenges. I hold an MSc in Geographical and Environmental Research from Keele University and a BS in Environmental Science from Paul Smith's College.My research-focused MSc dissertation involved determining the effects of waste product application to mine site soils on soil physical, chemical, and biological properties. I conducted soil physical property measurements, plant growth trials, earthworm survival tests, and microbial function assays. My undergraduate thesis involved researching the travel of Anaplasmosis in Northern New York State.I have experience in desk-based research and analysis, field sampling and measurement, laboratory equipment calibration and analyses, scheduling of testing, meetings, and deadlines, record keeping, data logging, and coordination of multiple parties.In my previous role as a Research, Development, and Innovation Associate Researcher at Keele University, I provided technical research to a private firm and developed comprehensive reports as agreed with contract deliverables. As a Laboratory Technician at the Manheim Area Water and Sewer Authority, I performed routine laboratory analysis of water and wastewater samples, ensured compliance with DEP and EPA regulations, produced reports to aid operators in process control decisions of facilities, and collected field samples for in-house and third-party testing."When the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught, the last river poisoned, only then will we realize that one cannot eat money." -Native American saying
