I am an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with clinical and supervision experience serving children with speech and language disorders. I am relocating from San Francisco, CA to Denver, Colorado. I worked as a public school SLP from 2014-2018 before pursuing a PhD in Special Education from University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco State University's joint doctoral program. In addition to research and university lecturing, I have experience providing direct service in home, day care, and outpatient settings, as well as managing an SLP team. My research interest is language development and, specifically, relational vocabulary. I am interested in understanding how social interaction and embodied activity contribute to relational language and cognitive development. My current projects apply these interests to students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
