I had a line or two here that the more I looked at, the more it didn't feel like me. I get it, we all need to appear professional, but so many of these summaries are just noise, so I'm writing this instead. I've had a working life that spans a few disciplines, and only joined LinkedIn when I started freelancing in graphic design around 2015. Most of my career has been hospitality: I've run shifts, managed and trained staff and worked my arse off just so I could say I was doing a good job, that I was doing all I could in my role. This is something I do in all my endeavours. I'm willing to work at anything until I understand it, and so I can do it well, no matter how long it takes. Pentesting is something that is wildly unpredictable, broad in scope and holds a density of information I never knew I could begin to fathom. But I'm getting there.I've now a year or so of consultancy experience, mainly web applications, and I want to get better at this before I go deeper into the warren. Next steps? API testing, cloud and eventually mobile. Current path? PortSwigger Academy, JavaScript, Python and the Burp Suite Certified Professional exam.
