My responsibilities included providing Environmental Health & Safety services to clients, including emergency response, loss control inspections, accident investigation/expert witness, safety inspections, and more, as well as oversee internal EHS procedures and policies. Additional significant direct environmental consulting, safety, and construction management experience, including extensive international work and travel. Worked on projects throughout the United States (including Puerto Rico), Mexico, Canada, the Dominican Republic and Chile, and supported project teams and assisted on a variety of projects in locations around the world, including Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, the UK, France, Sweden, and others.

Began with VERTEX in the International vertical, focusing on international and domestic transactional due diligence. Environmental experience also encompasses renewable energy project development, a significant amount of subsurface investigations assessing soil, soil vapor, and groundwater conditions, soil management oversight during development, and more. Transitioned to a role in the Construction Management vertical to broaden professional experience, providing Owner's Project Management (OPM) services for new construction and renovation projects, including public projects valued at $7MM and private projects valued at $20MM. Construction management experience also includes project management during remedial construction and completion projects for surety files.

Staff writer for the Active Lifestyle section. Duties consisted of conducting interviews, researching stories, and composing articles.

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of multiple intramural sports leagues, with hundreds of students participating. Duties included the hiring, scheduling, and training of referees, distributing and collecting itemized sets of equipment, and maintaining the safety of students as well as the integrity of the games. Promoted after one year as a referee.

Worked with a team of two other students in collecting data for a 5-year project assessing the impacts of climate change on the position of alpine tree lines. Collected tree cores from sample populations on the western slope of Pikes Peak before counting and measuring the rings for statistical analysis. The data was used to complete my senior thesis "Influence of temperature on radial growth of Picea Engellmanii at tree line."
