The Food WorksSW, will be a flagship food and drink innovation centre on the outskirts of Weston-Super-Mare. North Somerset Council has secured £13m Local Growth Deal funding from the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership to bring the project forward. https://www.foodworks-sw.co.uk/. I work on both the design and build and operator procurement workstreams.I am responsible for the claim and financial processes from the North Somerset Council element of the ERDF funded Enterprising West of England programme.I am the council lead for the development of The Stable, a digital and co-working hub within Weston-super-Mare, including Phase 2 of the project launching early 2019 http://www.thestableweston.com/en.I lead the development of a number of projects within the digital agenda aiming to both enable digital innovation and physical digital infrastructure.

Leading on the resident and stakeholder engagement of two estate regeneration projects.My role involves the development of communication documents and activities to inform residents and key stakeholders about important activities connected to the schemes.I am also involved engaging with internal stakeholders and relevant politicians.

Project management of a range of projects for council and charity clients. I also undertook a range of interim positions within Enfield Council including within the Inward Investment and Economic Development departments.

My work as Project Officer involves a myriad of different role and responsibilities. The variety within the research and consultancy work that we undertake results if different work on every project. Often this work includes undertaking policy reviews, setting up, facilitating and writing up focus groups, interviewing key stakeholders and interested parties, developing proposals and development plans, assessing qualitative and quantitative data and often liaising with a range of council departments. I have also been seconded into the Regeneration Team within Enfield Council providing project support on the stakeholder and community engagement strand of the Meridian Water development. This work has involved supporting the team on community engagement, the creation of a stakeholder database, risk register and other project elements. I am also project manage a GLA funded project providing grants and training for community groups. At Renaisi I have conducted a range of commercial workplace mapping and feasibility studies on behalf of Camden Council. I have also conducted a number of horizon scanning opportunities within organisations researching how best to develop and expand on organisations client and work base and the market. My work at Renaisi has also involved in the monitoring and knowledge sharing element of the £150 million Big Lottery project, Big Local. Alongside quality assurance investigations and financial and contract management. I also engage in opportunity and tender monitoring including writing of bids and project proposals.

My role as Policy Assistant at Business West involved undertaking a range of research and surveys to inform and promote local and national business issues. Producing regular external briefings on local and national business issues and changes to government legislation and policy. Evolving and refining the formatting of the reports to ensure they are easily accessible. Our survey reports on local business findings, the results of which fed into the British Chambers of Commerce national survey which is the largest and most representative independent business survey of its kind in the UK, and is closely watched by policy makers such as the Treasury and the Bank of England, as well as the national media.I also collaborated with the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership to create a series of workbooks similar to those produced for the Manchester Independent Economic Review. These formulated strategic baseline information. My work involved liaising with the marketing department to co-ordinated policy message distribution through email, social media, blogs and press releases and the updating of the CMS for the policy pages.
