Rebecca is a multi-award winning marketing specialist who has worked in small business, State Government, the airline industry, media and now as a Director of her own national digital marketing company Kingthing Marketing. In the five years Rebecca held the position of Marketing Manager at Tamar River Cruises the company won 9 awards including Tasmanian Tourism Awards and the Telstra Business Award for Innovation. Her managerial style, strategic business planning skills and proven track record for unprecedented growth led Rebecca to be awarded the 2006 Telstra Tasmanian Corporate Business Woman of the Year. Her love for all things online saw her leave the industry development role to start her own consultancy specialising in online tourism.Kingthing Marketing has gone from strength to strength and won the 2014 Tasmanian Tourism Award for Education and Training. In April 2015, Rebecca achieved the highlight of her career by winning Gold in the prestigious 2014 Australian Tourism Awards in the Education and Training category. She is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has completed the Company Directors Course. In September 2015 Rebecca was appointed as a Director on the Tourism Tasmania Board and in 2018 she was appointed as a Director on the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board. In 2019 Kingthing Marketing received national recognition winning the marketing category of the Australian Small Business Awards and was named Business of the Year in the 2019 Launceston Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
