About Behnam Azmoon

I am an analytics scientist at FICO working on transaction fraud detection. Before FICO, I was a Research Scientist at Michigan Tech applying machine learning algorithms to geotechnical engineering problems and geosystems. Specifically, I focused on supervised learning algorithms and their applications in slope stability analysis and pavement performance predictions. Also, I have extensive experience with ArcGIS Pro for landslide detection/prediction purposes using temporal high-resolution digital elevation models. I have worked on different projects, including: ๏ Pavement performance prediction during spring thaw using instrumentation (RWIS) and machine learning models. ๏ Applying regression and classification algorithms for predicting the factor of safety (FS) of slopes. ๏ Landslide detection and prediction in a study area north of California with Mask R-CNNs and regression models. ๏ Using classification algorithms to predict the safety status of retaining walls.During my master's, I worked on modeling a rockfill dam (Rudbar Lorestan) using Flac to evaluate the model accuracy against instrumentation outputs in 2D modeling of this dam.⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟⊡⊟I love applying novel machine learning techniques to solve engineering problems.
