Ben is an experienced project manager and technically minded mechanical engineer with a background in mining and municipal infrastructure. Currently working as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Ausenco, he is responsible for the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary mining projects.Ben's technical expertise lies in the multi-disciplinary design of process plant and pump and piping systems, including tailings and mineral slurry pipelines. These designs range from conceptual / options studies through to constructible detailed designs.Previously, Ben undertook various client representative, OEM, EPCM and consultant managerial and engineering roles within multi-discipline teams to complete mining, resource and municipal infrastructure projects. Such projects included the design, construction and commissioning of advanced water treatment systems, coal handling and processing plants, water and sewerage pipelines and pumping stations, design of site infrastructure associated with mine development, expansion and sustaining capital projects, and conceptual design of CSG and gas pipeline infrastructure.Ben has extensive project and technical experience in process plant, pump, pipeline, and piping systems design with detailed knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, WSAA guidelines, and industry regulations applicable to his field of work.
