I am pleased to start my term as a Local Authority appointed school governor until 2028. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain experience in public service which I am proud to have been offered.

1 on 1 sessions with a Ukrainian student learning English. This will allow both sides to exchange cultures, develop my vocational teaching and allow my student to better their English Language skills.

Worked with my local MP and Lord to help put back an increase in our International Development spending back on the agenda.Fundraised over £400 for the organisation and mobilised constituents to email our Mp about poverty reduction legislation.I gave volunteer opportunity classes to schools about what we offer as an organisation while offering insight into my personal responsibilities as an intern. I also met with community groups and rotary clubs to raise awareness of the UK’s current overseas assistance program with the goal to mobilise them to join the campaign to return to the 0.7% of ODA.
