Since I began building as a kid to starting in the trades in 2017, I have learned so much from construction. I am excited to have a career in the construction industry and continue to learn from construction professionals. I grew up learning to build from my parents, who were usually doing some sort of remodel at our family home, but also invested in two properties which we flipped and sold. I learned so much from those early experiences.In 2017, I started working in the trades, first as a carpenter at Frank Young Construction in the clean rooms at IM Flash in Lehi UT. I then had the opportunity to work as an intern for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Laie, HI. After my internship in Hawaii, I worked as a laborer for Wilkinson Electric while attending BYU studying Construction Management. Networking at BYU led me to an internship with Hensel Phelps Construction in their Southern California district, working on the Delta Sky Club project at LAX. After my internship in Southern California, I came back to Utah for school and was given the opportunity to intern at Jacobsen Construction Company, where I worked as an Estimating Intern and as a Project Engineer Intern.I am currently working again as an intern at Hensel Phelps Construction as an Operations Intern, working on the Harbor-UCLA replacement program.
