Overview:Lighthouse Finance Partners is a virtual CFO service I started in Jan 2022 to support small-to-medium sized businesses achieve their growth objectives. I aim to give business owners more time in their day to focus on what matters to them. I'm dedicated to growing Lighthouse FP and making a difference to my clients.From Nov 2019 to Oct 2022 I worked at Worksafe, the Victorian health and safety regulator and manager of the state's workers compensation scheme. I commenced with them as Finance Manager of Operations, for a 4 month period I was acting Financial Controller and spent 12 months as Finance Operations Project Lead.Prior to WorkSafe, I was CFO at Oritain Global Ltd, a world leader in scientific verification of the origin of products. As the inaugural CFO, my role was to introduce robust financial processes, develop the reporting framework to the business and Board and assist with capital raises across multiple countries. I managed a small team that supported a global business which was growing rapidly in terms of size and complexity. Providing accurate and timely information was my focus as well as lending commercial acumen and leading financial accountability to all areas of the business.My experience as a CFO began at The Gordon TAFE which operates under the Department of Education within the Victorian State government. I was responsible for preparing statutory and management accounts, budgets and forecasts for executive management and the Board of Directors. I managed not only the finance team, but risk and quality assurance, facilities management and IT.Throughout my career I’ve developed modelling and recommendations for complex processes and transactions such as business unit performance, capital expenditure programs and delivery of infrastructure projects. I've worked across multiple disciplines within sectors such as education, energy, engineering and manufacturing. I began my career in external audit at KPMG before moving to the UK and into financial analyst roles. This included reporting directly to CEO’s and being able to work with and influence key stakeholders. Future Direction:I value projects and businesses with a social conscience that seek to improve outcomes for everyone, and believe that through Lighthouse Finance Partners I can realise these ambitions.
