TGO is a small gold operation located 45 minutes south west of Dubbo, NSW. My key responsibilities were to ensure all survey department requirements were met for the project. This included running a team of 3 surveyors, end of month reporting, establishment of monitoring campaigns, both pit wall and mill infrastructure, extensive environmental.

Iron Knob

I had been working previously as a contractor to Arrium. It was in 2013 that Arrium brought the survey function in house. It was at this time I was given the opportunity to be the Senior Mine Surveyor for the re-establishment of the Iron Knob operations. The project required full planning and budgeting for the department. This involved building a team of 3.

SMR & Iron Baron

With the re-establishment of Iron Baron mine site an opportunity was created for me to lead both teams at Iron Baron and The South Middleback Ranges operations. A different contract surveyor would conduct the day to day surveys of Iron Baron. My role was to audit their work, i.e. End of Month reporting, reconciliations, contractor management and work.
