I am currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin - Madison studying Consumer Behavior and Marketplace Studies in the School of Human Ecology. Additionally I am a Midshipman First Class in the University of Wisconsin Madison Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps pursuing a commission into the United States Marine Corps. I am on pace to graduate and commission in May of 2024. My past three years have been spent studying in Madison and working with the NROTC program developing valuable leadership skills and studying for my undergraduate degree.Through the NROTC program I have had ample opportunity to grow and develop as a leader. Our battalion is structured to provide leadership roles and experiences for midshipmen to learn how to lead in an environment that permits failure but promotes success. As a midshipman I have served a variety of leadership roles within our student chain of command and had the opportunities to travel to training evolutions across the country during the summers.During the summers of my first two years at UW Madison, I spent two separate months in Camp Pendleton, California, experiencing the fleet Marine Corps and familiarizing myself with each of the different military occupational communities.This past summer I spent six weeks in Quantico, Virginia, completing Officer Candidate School. This school is the leadership screener for Marine Corps officers, where I learned extremely valuable lessons on discipline, leadership and ethics. On July 1st, 2023 I graduated in the top 10% of my 220 person class and officially earned the title of U.S. Marine.At UW Madison I have been privileged to study at the School of Human Ecology. Throughout the course of my undergraduate studies I have worked with a variety of professors and teachers assistants focusing on consumer behavior, product development and market analytics. I have recently been working on a focus project with five other students to help out a local business with marketing and internal development of their social media and e-commerce platforms as well.
