Everyone has deep thoughts. Everyone has world changing concepts. Some of us are just able to express those thoughts and concepts better than others. My gifting is expressing the your thoughts and concepts through the use of visual media. I've spent the last 6 years working in graphic design and photography. Right now I work with a production company called ISP Studios. We do work for a few big names you've heard of and some smaller one's that you haven't. Although I currently work with a full fledged production company, the last 6 years of my design and photography career have been bare bones as far as resources go. I am self taught. I began doing design and photography on my phone. I took my phone-made portfolio and took it into an interview for my first design job. The job required that I know how to use Photoshop. Although I had no idea how to use Photoshop, my boss was incredibly gracious and hired me. He said, "If you can do this kind of work just using your phone, then there's no telling what you can do once you learn Photoshop." Everything I've done since then has been work from the ground up. I've redesigned the social media presence of several clients. I've done rebranding work for a couple clients to help them reach a broader audience. I've done everything from writing scripts to directing to shooting social media ads to designing graphics for clients so they can flood their social media with eye grabbing content. Nearly EVERYTHING I've done has been accomplished with just a camera and photoshop and my brain. I often wonder why I have this gift. There are so many other gifts out there that lend themselves to higher paying jobs. So why do I have this? Well, I believe that artists are the "feelers" of society. Everyone has the same emotions, the same thoughts. Artists just feel it more deeply than the rest. Don't read me wrong, society needs administrative minds, but those administrative minds need someone to draw out and display what is inside them. You have a thought. You have a concept. It's deep within you. Let's get it out.
