Hired as a Senior Analyst in the Business Support Unit, Investments department in April 2010. This was a relationship/portfolio management role. Bank of Scotland Corporate Graduate Training Scheme, 2 years working as an Analyst in various business areas throughout BoS Corporate and Lloyds TSB Wholesale. My role was focused on developing knowledge and experience of the financial services industry. I also undertook training courses in networking, presentations and advanced excel. My rotations were as follows:Integrated Finance Asset Management, Edinburgh: Involved in many facets of managing the Integrated Finance buy-out portfolio including financial modelling, writing and submission of credit papers, attendance at board meetings and project management. I was able to gain a thorough understanding of the private equity space. This placement also included a secondment to the credit sanctioning department.Integrated Finance South, London: Considerable exposure to in-depth financial modelling, RAROE and SVA analysis whilst assisting on corporate restructures of the management buy-out portfolio. Significant experience in market research using online tools such as Thomson Reuters.Acquisition Finance BSU, London: Working within the impaired assets/distressed debt department on the leveraged buy-out portfolio. This has given me valuable experience in debt restructuring, business sales, financial modelling, writing and submitting impairment proposals as well as negotiating with private equity houses and management teams.BSU Investments, London: My final rotation on the graduate scheme was within the debt for equity restructuring team. As the assistant to the Southern Area Team Manager my duties are extensive. I am responsible for arranging Area Team meetings as well as one to ones, both of which require a high level of personal organisation and the ability to forge working relationships in a short space of time. I also proof read fortnightly reports alongside my regular administrative tasks of sorting, filing and copying.
