Benjamin Aronson Email and Phone Number
My first job was at a local bike shop in Deerfield, IL. I worked there for over 5 years and gained a lot of experience working with customers and my fellow employees. I started as a floor salesman, but as my interests grew I wanted to be more involved in the operations of the business. I began studying supply chain in college, and wanted to try to implement what I had learned for a small business. I helped with inventory management, supplier relations, customer satisfaction, distribution and logistics, and demand planning. Because it was a small business, I was able to reach so many parts of the supply chain because it wasn't too complex. Another glaring issue with the store was they used paper to document every interaction with customers. I helped them by creating a basic excel file to act as their database for all important parts of their business. It was much more efficient and useful than having everything written on paper. This experience helped me to have the opportunity to intern for AbbVie as a logistics analyst. At AbbVie, I had the opportunity to work on a production line and learn the process of how it operates and keeps one of the AbbVie's key products available to consumers. Throughout my time at AbbVie, I worked cross-functionally to gather data on tasks, roles, product demand, and product management. These different business functions helped me gather the necessary information to provide recommendations for how to improve efficiency for one of AbbVie's product lines. Overall, my internship at AbbVie gave me necessary experience within a successful companies supply chain and learn how it leads to success. AbbVie's supply chain is complex and detailed and I had the opportunity to learn from experts in their field and help make the supply chain better.
