RxGen applies the close genomic, physiologic, and biochemical homology shared between humans and Old World primates to provide disease modeling and evaluation of drug safety and efficacy not possible in other animal models, humans, or in vitro systems. Responsible for Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) operations of several toxicology services departments, including: Small and Large Animal Toxicology, Reproductive Toxicology, Safety Pharmacology, Infusions, Animal Services, Test Material Control, Clinical Pathology, Technical Training and a variety of post-life services. Responsible for ensuring that these departments performed their tasks in a high quality manner to the expected standards of research regulations, ensuring they communicated effectively with other areas of MPI Research and were provided with sufficient resources to perform their duties. Responsible for departmental budgeting and ensuring those budgets were held within specific ranges based on company revenues. Assisted the attending veterinarian with AAALAC program descriptions and active preparation for and participation in triennial AAALAC accreditation visits. Core skills include candidate interviews, employee development, performance reviews and employee terminations when necessary.
