I have extensive experience of family law having done this type of work for about 20 years. This includes helping people with their divorce and the financial issues, such as the division of the assets. I also deal with issues relating to spousal maintenance and disputes concerning where children should live following the separation of their parents. These issues can, inevitably, be very emotive but I try to guide people through the process in a way which minimises further upset and acrimony. I also do a fair amount of Child Support Agency work, where I help parents who have issues with the Agency. Whilst the Agency has improved over the last few years it still has a long way to go before it is "fit for purpose" The rules and regulations which govern child support are far from straightforward and sometimes it's a case of locking yourself in a darkened room, with a cold towel around your head, to methodically work your way through the issues !I have been fortunate enough to have been the co-author of a text book on child support entitled "Safe Routes to Child Support". Not exactly what you would want to read on the beach but, hopefully, useful if you are trying to grapple with child support issues !I live in south west London with my ever patient wife and delightful daughter.
