Directs a staff of 27 personnel in the daily operations of the maintenance, grounds and environmental services departments in order to maintain 183,000 SF of facilities and 100+ acres of campus grounds in support of inpatient, outpatient, educational and administrative services for a 58 bed mental health hospital and special educational needs school.Plans, prioritizes and executes a $1.9mil annual facility and grounds maintenance budget.Directed the planning and execution of over $4.5mil of construction projects in less than 5 years to both improve infrastructure and upgrade 25,000sf of inpatient hospital units in order to meet stringent Joint Commission anti ligature requirements for mental health facilities.Directed the facilities department in the successful preparation and completion of the Life Safety and Environment of Care portions of 2 very challenging triennial Joint Commission Surveys, helping to ensure Brook Lane Health Services received The vital Joint Commission Accreditation necessary to qualify to receive Medicare payment for services rendered to clientele.Chairman of the Environment of Care & Safety Committee, leading other directors in the effort to ensure staff safety is a top priority and the facilities are a safe and productive environment for staff and patients alike.
