I was initially seconded to the LAN Services Team for a 6 month period, after which I was offered the permanent role of LAN & WIFI Solution Integration Specialist. Since this time I have worked mostly on Cisco Catalyst LAN renewal & migration projects for medium and large UK-based customers as well as public-sector clients. In addition to working as a team in a supporting role, for projects, I have also fulfilled the technical lead role for projects. This involves working with the project or programme managers to provide the Low Level Designs, logistics, delivery, and implementation plans, as well risk assessments, and take a hands-on role to fulfil the migrations. Also during this period I am the sole LAN engineer delivering the internally provided Network Readiness Assessment service for Vodafone’s hosted VoIP customer solutions.

I worked as a field based data network engineer. My work primarily focused on the development and organisation of a Network Readiness Assessment tool designed to assess 3rd party data networks for VoIP suitability prior to Vodafone USC IPT solution deployment.In addition to the above I worked as part of a team on the maintenance of clients existing data networks in support of our IPT telephony engineers. This included participation in out of hours call out rota and installation of new equipment.I worked primarily on Extreme Networks LAN equipment but also included a variety of Cisco switches and routers, and HP switch equipment.
