Within the past few years, I've enjoyed extensive quality education in various STEM fields, concentrating on computer science and computer engineering. Currently, I am employed as a game developer in Red Team Interactive. In this position, I manage the backend, our api, and assist in the front end wherever possible. I am familiar with multiple programming languages, circuit design and analysis, and CAD.One of the most formative experiences in my life was serving a voluntary full-time mission in Cote d'Ivoire for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For a period of two years, I taught, learned and led various individuals from different cultures and faiths. Thanks to the positions that I held, I gained leadership experience in various different languages, became skilled at adapting to new and unfamiliar situations, and learned wisdom to be accepting of different cultures, beliefs, and opinions. These skills and lessons have been a blessing for me since serving this mission.In the past, I was employed at Brigham Young University as a software engineer in a divers group of 4. We developed, maintained, and tested web and mobile applications for the Missionary Training Center in Provo, UT. These applications focused on teaching languages to missionaries and aiding teachers for a variety of subjects. These applications support teaching 60+ languages to the thousands of young men and women in training or in the field. This experience has led me to appreciate working in a team, using git, and applying effectively the scrum workflow. One of the biggest challenges that I faced was learning to code with the Angular and Ionic Framework. Previous to this work, I had experience in C++ and Java but none in Typescript, HTML, or CSS. I was expected to learn the latter three within a month of being hired and working alongside the most experienced of employees. Through hard work and determination, I was able to fulfill those expectations and more as I became one of the teams most valued employees. I've appreciated my time here and am grateful for the good impact that I've been able to have.
