Work duties: Perform weekly/monthly backups of servers; run backups on off days when people are not working, run powershell scripts and veeam to run backup, 24/7 on-call periodic vpn to network to check/monitor backup, setup/maintain systems and servers, install software, HDD to SSD migration, OS migration/setup, verify that peripherals are working properly, quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure, monitor network communication, install/configure new routers, maintain network servers, create bat scripts to map network drives onto machines, setup/configure work machines to work on server domains, write powershell module scripts to automate backup of files on ftp server/backup server.Additional responsibilities: FTP Support/site maintenance; ping ftp to ensure it is working properly, vpn into ftp as admin, check adequate storage on local drives, save all user accounts to backup file, AHUS server; periodically check that the AHUS is running properly, check-in/reset HASP license, General network health check; confirm modem functioning, confirm network firewall functioning, confirm wireless router functioning, file system server maintenance, Application Support: Office; Email migration, setupQA responsibilities: Assist colleagues in algorithm/application development team with performing software test cases: automated, black box, regression, release tests. Create truth to help with training AI for image processing accuracy: BPAT, AMI, NAS, package void, bondwire. Write/Modify scripts to generate image processing results. Confirm/test Nikon and stand-alone work software (AIVIA) for bugs and add bugs to bug tracker: bugzilla

Fourth Way Comics, a small group of writers/comic collaborator's, is based out of San Francisco, California. They work with artists as art collaborators; Fourth Way Comics provided the story, writing, and created the layouts, while they had artists collaborate with them, to make the art for the comic books.I was responsible for creating a 40-page comic book as the artist for an upcoming comic, titled: The Matter. We worked remotely via e-mail and phone. I scanned the art pages at 600 dpi, and sent them the art, via email, and they worked on the lettering and page layouts. It was a really fun and productive gig.

I come in 2-3 times a week and am given design projects to work on that have deadlines.I design brochures, cards, appeals, posters, or anything that they want me to work on.I also worked on some web-based design projects while I was here.Global Visionaries: www.global-visionaries.org
