Graduate Student, BEng in Materials Engineering (Polymer Technology).Currently enrolled at Tshwane University of Technology.I am pursuing a degree in Materials Engineering with a focus on Polymer Technology. My studies encompass the management of raw materials, product manufacturing and processing, product development, and quality assurance. I am passionate about developing innovative plastic products and honing my skills in material characterization. I have also gained training in SolidWorks for computer-aided design and various plastic processing techniques.Field service engineering intern, Radiometer South Africa *August 2020 - February 2021*As part of my practical training, I worked as an intern with field service engineers at Radiometer Medical ApS, a leader in the maintenance and installation of blood gas and immunoassay analyzers. This role required me to not only grasp the scientific principles of these machines but also to accumulate at least three months of hands-on field experience.During my time at Radiometer South Africa, I developed a solid foundation in blood gas analysis and analyser maintenance. My responsibilities included new analyser startups and conducting validation and quality control processes. This experience significantly sharpened my technical skills and provided me with some insight on how a high-pressure corporate environment functions.I gained insights into the importance of reliable diagnostic tools and their direct impact on patient care. Electrical Contracting and General Maintenance Worker Part-time during studiesI frequently worked part-time with my father as part of his team of electrical contractors and general maintenance workers. Through this experience, I developed skills in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and residential settings. My responsibilities included working with generators, intercoms, electric fencing, gate motors, underfloor heating, air conditioning systems, as well as solar system installations. This role allowed me to implement power-saving methods and provided valuable insights into site safety, project planning, and the effective use of tools and electrical equipment. These experiences have significantly enhanced my technical skills and understanding of the electrical trade.
