My passion for the environment and sustainability stems from having worked in various roles in eco-tourism as a young adult. I decided on a career transition with the commitment to completing undergraduate and postgraduate studies while maintaining full-time employment. My studies have focused on climate science and environmental engineering. They were varied and challenging courses and combined theoretical topics with practical work. As a result, I am comfortable analysing data and am proficient in a variety of programs used in developing environmental solutions.I have a multifaceted background and a range of practical experience that I have developed alongside my academic work. I completed multiple work placements with Macquarie University where I recorded and analysed data and developed technical reports on long-term climate change impacts on coastal infrastructure. While working as an Operations Manager in Mallorca for a small business playing a leading role in marine conservation throughout the Balearics, I participated in community sustainability projects and facilitated aquatic surveys. My current role has given me excellent project management skills which follow a logical systematic approach. I have a proactive attitude supported by exceptional attention to detail. I can communicate complex issues to varied audiences. I enjoy working collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary, diverse team environment and have the communication skills required to engage confidently with people. As a recent graduate, I have a clear intention of pursuing a career within environmental engineering. I aim to collaborate with industry professionals and to learn from their knowledge and experience. I am ready for a new challenge and strongly believe that my knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm set me apart from other candidates. To find out more, please connect with me or send me an InMail.
