Strategic planning is essential for meeting long term goals. Visionary leadership is key to developing excitement. Charisma is necessary for effective communication. All of the above are important lessons I have learned through experience.I'm a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, a Supervisory Federal Employee, and a graduate of Central Michigan University. I've proven myself as a reliable leader through the rigors of political campaign management, government administration, and military operations.I held many different positions, and wore many different hats, including: programmer, customer service representative, cashier, election inspector, writer, politician, broadcaster, consultant, accountant, rescuer, Soldier, leader, manager, logistician, and many more. This wealth of experiences gave me a new outlook on life, and it helps me understand how every moving piece at each level of an organization works. That understanding of the world is key to ensuring efficiency when managing a project or a group of people. Together, I used all of the different experiences in my life to benefit my skill development and build myself into a well-rounded person.I earned my Master of Public Administration, while simultaneously training in the U.S. Army. I am very focused on my career and my education, and I enjoy every minute of both. I wrote my thesis on the prevention of active shootings in government buildings. Additionally, I assisted a research team with creating an environmental risk analysis on oil pipelines under the Straits of Mackinac; The findings were presented in official testimony to a State of Michigan task force. Finally, I supported a team of engineers with supplies and materials to strengthen base defenses in the Global War On Terror.I constantly seek to meld my military logistics experience with my public administration education to build a lasting career in management and public service. Most importantly, I seek to mentor and coach so that everyone may unlock their full potential.I always enjoy making new connections in and outside of my profession.
