As Head of Promotions I have been responsible for managing a team responsible for working with the Hire Space Venue Community, developing our client base and delivering a fantastic service for everyone we work with.My responsibilities include:Implementing a new sales structure, including new systems to track performance.Leading the culture of the team to ensure our service is flawless.Managing a team of account managers, and creating an environment in which they can thrive and develop, both personally and professionally.Develop my own accounts, delivering revenue and keeping clients happy.Developing the commercial side of the EventLAB brand, creating opportunities for partners and sponsors to benefit from the reach of the brand. I have also been taking an active part in the wider culture at Hire Space, spending time working with the HR team and the Social Committee to help drive a better and more engaging environment for the whole team.

In light of the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, it became obvious that more than ever people were going to need support with their mental health. Having looked after Sanctus internally at Hire Space I wanted to volunteer to help them build more connections within the community during this challenging time for everyone! My primary focus for Sanctus was linking up with new businesses, helping to kick off conversations about mental health within your business, and how you can support your employees over a laptop.

Oliver Kinross organise high-level conferences, exhibitions and workshops across a variety of market sectors in locations across the world.We have launched a worldwide construction exhibition series, featuring events in London, New York & Sydney.I am currently heading the marketing efforts for Scotland Build 2017 & London Build 2017, having previously run sister shows in New York and Manchester. These events bring together the leading contractors, architects, developers and suppliers from the region to make connections and discuss the latest developments and innovations within the sector.My current responsibilities include:Managing and co-ordinating marketing activity for the international build events series, involving substantial innovation to improve and develop visitor/exhibitor experience.Creating and managing budgets, directing spend to ensure maximum impact.Launching and executing strategic partnerships with leading industry bodies and media publications.Writing industry themed and show related press releases/editorials, organising press calls and managing press relations.Coordinating multi platform external promotional campaigns, including preparing print advertisements, external display advertising, social media marketing, adwords campaigns, email marketing, data capture and postal campaigns.Rebuilding and designing event websites using Wordpress.Writing basic HTML code to develop and edit websites and emails.Using InDesign and Photoshop to create, edit and prepare advertising. Marciac, France

Jazz In Marciac is a 3 week long music festival in the south of France, working down here has been a fantastic experience for me, I have been fully exposed to French in the 4 years I have worked there, not a single person speaks English so having to interact solely in French has really improved my linguistic skills. During my time there I have worked in a kitchen and a busy bar, the latter of which has allowed me to interact with many more people at the festival, learning vital people skills and taking the lead in our team to help up become as efficient as possible.
