The AP Lead role directly manages and advises Asset Protection Coordinators and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Hannaford policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, directing, mentoring, and disciplining associates, appraising performance, and resolving complaints. This position assists store management and other leadership roles in developing and directing the AP team to operate efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures that minimize shrink and optimize revenue in an assigned district of stores.Duties and Responsibilities:⦁ Includes all Duties and Responsibilities of Asset Protection Coordinator role⦁ Hire and provide onboarding, training, and developmental support to AP team ⦁ Retail shrink reduction, theft, police assistance, and risk management case coordination⦁ Conduct routine visits with direct reports to provide guidance and best practices around investigating and deterring, and as a last resort, detaining dishonest customers and how to maintain physical security of assigned stores⦁ Identify, report and mitigate causes of potential shrink on the retail side of the business in assigned store(s) and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and protection of company assets⦁ Provide guidance and direction on assisting Regional Asset Protection Leader (RAPL) and other field/corporate management with investigations and establish regular collaboration with the store management team
