My childhood was not too different than many. I am very thankful to grow up on a farm in northwest Iowa and experience hard work right away in life. I spent 4 years in the Army right out of high school. I worked as an Intelligence analyst while in Korea, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq. I am very thankful the military allowed me to travel a lot and experience different places and their cultures. I left the military after my four years of active duty to come to college.Next, I spent 4 1/2 years at Iowa State pursueing a double degree in Business Finance and Logistics. I was a community advisor for 3 1/2 of those years which helped me develop more leadership skills. During the summers I lived around Ames and did a series of jobs. My first two summers I worked at Martin Marietta Materials (Ames Mine). I did manage to do some more traveling to Ghana, Africa as a summer course. The next summer I took an internship with Jacobson Companies working in their chemical warehouse. My next internship was with Northwestern Mutual in Ames. I graduated in December of 08 and converted my internship into full time.In August of 2010, I decided to switch gears and started working with seniors. I work around medicare and specialize with secondary health insurance that helps supplement the risks associated. I also help families achieve financial security from unforeseen loss.
