Field Ecologist/BotanistI have experience working in both research and consulting. Strong academic background graduating from University of Melbourne with a B.Sc in Plant Science/Botany. I later completed an Honours (research year) project studying invertebrate communities (with a focus on native bees) in Northern Victoria. I'm interested in the conservation and management of native vegetation, in both research and practice.I previously worked as a Research Assistant with the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford.Further, I have volunteered in numerous field trips for research projects and studied in detail the flora of SE Australia. This included surveying the effects of bushfires on native montane forests. I have also worked extensively in the construction industry as a consultant ecologist with Habitat Management Services. Previously worked in wetland construction with Balance Enviro Solutions.Whilst studying I developed practical horticultural skills working at Bonsai Art Plant NurseryI have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate to a wide range of audiences, from working in construction sites to coaching table tennis for secondary school students (year 7- 12) at Mentone Grammar School.Skilled in QGIS, R, Word, Excel.
