Continuing research begun while a research associate.

At AEI, I researched mortgage lending and assessed the riskiness of today's lending standards. My primary research project is documenting the evolution of mortgage risk before, during, and after the financial crisis, which has been published as a working paper in the FHFA Working Papers Series. My other research is on housing affordability, new construction of housing, and accessing the scale of historical mortgage lending.

I worked on a team to perform market research and consult for academic and private sector organizations, specializing in the media/entertainment sector. My work varies based on our clients' needs, and it spans the research process from crafting market research studies to analyzing the results of these studies. Using SPSS and Excel, I derive insights from surveys developed for clients and work extensively to create informative graphics to display complex results from our research. Examples from some of the projects I have worked on include:- Helping our clients better understand how their media products are received by their target audiences- Providing insights into the factors that will drive adoption of new technologies that facilitate the use of media- Creating visuals to portray audience interest in different subject matters within TV programs

As an intern, I attended meetings and events about the energy sector in the EU, compiled newsletters for member organization and for public release, redesigned the newsletters and website, and promoted FOSG events and initiatives through social media.

While with LAACoC, I helped to plan and execute the 89th annual World Trade Week, attended meetings of trade delegations that travel through Los Angeles, and helped build and maintain information databases on congressmen and consulates in the Los Angeles Area. I additionally wrote trade briefs to inform members of developing trade-related news, and produced Certificates of Free Sale for businesses exporting their goods.

My role required two foci: student engagement, and hunger advocacy. As a representative of Hillel, I helped recruit Jewish members of the USC community to come to all kinds of events that Hillel holds including my own. As a Hunger Fellow with MAZON, my role also required helping to inform USC students about Hunger in the U.S. and Israel, as well as creating opportunities for students to make a difference.

I developed a research project focusing on the role of religion in international politics in Latin America, and honed in on the relationship between the socialist Sandinista government and the Catholic Church in Nicaragua from 1979 until 1990. I concluded my work by writing a 7000-word case study on this topic.

I worked with crews of 4-10 Boy Scouts on team-building activities on a low ropes course to help bond crews together better. Additionally, my role required me to effectively deal with backcountry emergency situations, notably including the monitoring of forest fires in the area, and performed at nightly campfires.
