Shanghi is a venue I played in mainly over August 2007 for the Edinburgh Festival & the Christmas period of 2007. It tended to be from 9pm until close which was determined by how busy it was (given that the venue had a special 5am license for August & December).

In the summer of 2008 I'd decided to give up DJing after 10 long, nocturnal, lethargic years. It was a 'teenage dream' but I longed for stability, routine and colleagues. But when the offer of Le Monde came up, I couldn't resist one last stint. Situated on Edinburgh's George Street, I played on Saturday evenings from 7pm though to midnight overseeing a mixture of house and current chart music.
