I have had a long history in the print world starting with the traditional intaglio process that the old masters would have used for their fine art creations. This is etchings, engravings and aquatint. At the University of Iowa I was the recipient of the Graham-Miller Scholarship for outstanding achievement in undergraduate art studies. From there I went into the real world with large web printing at the Iowa City Press-Citizen a daily newspaper where I was an award winning ad designer. I stayed in that world through long years as a graphic designer and art director learning the ropes in color offset and becoming expert at that until I joined Broderbund/The Learning Company Software and took to the next level in packaging design and production. I currently work for an outstanding non-profit that makes books for the elementary school environment to improve reading comprehension and writing skills among other things.Specialties: As a avocation I specialize in making pastel drawings and paintings, silverpoint and oils.
