As a Product Manager of an agile software development team, it’s my responsibility to ensure the team has a healthy backlog of user stories that are prioritized and geared towards an MVP that will deliver value to our users. I will also generally help facilitate and participate in interviewing users as well as testing software with them. I’ll then work directly with our designers and developers to break down our findings to make sure the team empathizes with and fully understands the user’s problems. Other responsibilities include:Writing and prioritizing user stories, keeping the Minimum Viable Product in mindAccept or reject any finished storiesRunning weekly iteration planning meetings to discuss and point any new user storiesParticipating in daily stand-up meetings and weekly retrospectives to provide input on day-to-day processes that may or may not be workingCommunicating often an openly with team members through multiple channels including our job tracking softwareBalancing user-finding with business objectives

As a member of a balanced team that practices agile and lean development processes, it's my role to be the “empathizer in chief" that works to understand the customer or user at an expert level
, then translate findings into high-value needs for the product at hand. I'm also tasked with facilitating balance within the team, prioritizing the customer or user problems, and, of course, creating front end designs and prototypes.

My design responsibilities for Penske include providing new ideas and various graphics while staying within our brand guidelines for our social media properties, designing all of our email and landing page layouts and graphics, helping to redesign web properties, and sometimes filling in on some print pieces. I also help implement and expand upon creative direction provided to us from outside agencies.What I mainly do is run every aspect of our email marketing efforts from start to finish. Which includes developing the concept of the initial request further, designing and coding all of the assets, setting up automated triggers and lead scoring, building and implementing web forms uploading and managing lists, scheduling sends, running reports, managing our database communications between Salesforce and Marketo, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, staying up-to-date on new product releases, and after all of that... Attempting to plan ahead and think about the things we should be doing before someone requests it.

Radius first contracted me to clean up their website and optimize functionality for the holiday season. After that, they continued to give me work designing logos for various products, designing packaging, and even helping decide what colors the products themselves should be. At this point, I am the person they go to for almost all of their design work.

Superhero Industries was started as a true passion project with a programming co-worker. As we continue to develop our ideas and our brand, we offer standard web services, as well as applications for the iPhone, and other similar platforms.

Started web division within an existing advertising/media-buying agency. Outside of web design, I am in charge of client’s online banners ads, developing concepts for Social Media campaigns, and developing new ways to keep employees engaged and educated on current trends in the industry via our monthly digital company newsletter.

The web division of GWA, DRD, was a project in which I developed the name, logo, and designed its current website. As the project manager for each individual project, I work directly with clients, as well as manage a production team of developers, a copy writer, IT specialists, and designers. As well as, coordinate plans with the managers of specific account teams within GWA on their web projects.
