I focus my legal and mediation practice on complex employment and business litigation. From workplace employment compliance, executive compensation, shareholder disputes, covenants against competition, trade secret protection, harassment and discrimination defense, and the representation of professionals before licensing boards, my experience in these rapidly changing areas of the law provides a level of expertise that is generally unexpected in a firm of our size.I am a DRC Certified Mediator- Superior Court and a mediator on the panel of the three NC Federal District Courts. With a diverse practice representing employers, executives and business leaders in complex employment and commercial business disputes, I bring both a balanced perspective and a depth of knowledge and experience to my mediation services. I work with attorneys across the state to resolve disputes for their clients through court-ordered mediation, mediation of administrative matters and pre-litigation dispute resolution.I am a frequent speaker on employment law and business litigation topics, including litigation prevention. I have been recognized by Business North Carolina as one of the "Legal Elite" of employment attorneys in North Carolina every year since 2004. Super Lawyers magazine has recognized me as a "Super Lawyer" in the area of Employment Law each year since 2009.Triad Business Journal honored me as an Outstanding Woman in Business in 2017.I believe in giving back to our community. Throughout my career, I have devoted time to community groups and not for profits, including The United Way of Greater Greensboro, The North Carolina Bar Association, Foster Friends, Cub Scouts, and Triad Ladder of Hope.
