Ms. Summers serves as the Executive Director of the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce overseeing all Chamber operations and reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to the ongoing economic growth and success of Dunwoody businesses. The Dunwoody Chamber’s goal is to drive community engagement and patronage of member businesses as well as provide members networking, business support, savings opportunities and ongoing professional training. Ms. Summers led business development, volunteer and project management initiatives. Additionally, she managed events, fundraising and sponsorship programs, of which generating over $250,000 in sponsorship funding for a facility courtyard project was the highlight of her tenure.

* Managed a specified number of key Atlanta corporate accounts that produce room nights for all Marriott brands. Special emphasis was placed on increasing inbound share of business from these accounts, though outbound client needs were met as well. Effectively monitored Marriott’s market position within accounts and developed strategic relationships with key travel and meeting influencers. * Responsible for creating new business as well as completely saturating these accounts to fulfill all of the customer’s needs. * Developed sales plan encompassing all brands room nights’ needs per account. This included development of sales programs to solicit business through direct sales such as personal calls, phone solicitation and presentations to travel departments as well as top management. * Ensured accurate follow through of communications on customer needs through letters of agreements, customer correspondence and interdivisional communication. Communication to all brands regarding progress of the assigned accounts.
