Since 2016, I have led a team in developing and nurturing partnerships that serve the evolving needs of Denver Public Library's customers and community, whether through grant fundraising, strategic partnership efforts to bridge budget or service gaps across a 27 location system.My position expanded to include responsibility for Volunteer Services (VS) in early 2023. I saw multiple opportunities to improve the current VS function and began to implement big changes to add significant value to the organization. As the VS initiative was an added responsibility, I also continued managing operations and strategic improvements across the organization. Led transformation of Volunteer Services to include re-organizing and re-building the entire department in 7 months.Created the 3-year strategy and roadmap involving functional structure, staffing and systems. My role at Hope House allowed me to grow into not only a Grant Writer, but a full-service grant practitioner. Solely responsible for grant writing and administration, I leveled up quickly in my writing and administration skills.In less than two years, I went from a novice in the grant space, to leading operational grant seeking while also driving capital grant fundraising to support a $4M building campaign. I had to be a self-starter, a relationship-builder, a project manager, and a fundraiser, and I succeeded in each while surpassing fundraising goals and setting the organization on a path to continued success upon my departure.
