Plans, promotes and hosts various children's events including story times, playgroups and family events as needed.

Co-teacher position in a full-day preschool classroom.  Planned and implemented curriculum for preschool children.  Evaluated and provided ongoing assessment of children and worked to enhance kindergarten readiness skills in those children.  Completed home visits and parent teacher conferences to discuss children’s progress within the program.  Experience with food program software and data entry.  Worked to evaluate the current program for accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Infant I (6weeks-12mos) - Lead teacher in full-day child care classroom.  Planned and implemented curriculum for infants during their first year.  Provided ongoing assessment of children.  Supervised and trained staff within the classroom.  Supervised U of I practicum students.  Assessed and developed children’s nutritional needs together with parents.  Hosted parent teacher conferences twice a year. Collaborated with staff to meet NACCP Accreditation standards.

Provided childcare for parents during fitness classes.  Created, planned, promoted and implemented children’s toddler and preschool programs.  Worked directly with members and customers enrolling in programs and memberships.  Answered phones, created promotional flyers, provided clerical and secretarial support, as well as customer service and sales.

Private child care for individual family with three children.

Lead teacher for half-day preschool classroom of 3-year old children.   Planned and implemented curriculum for preschool children.  Evaluated and provided ongoing assessment of children and worked to enhance kindergarten readiness skills in those children.  Hosted parent teacher conferences to discuss children’s progress within the program.  Also assisted in toddler and preschool full-time child care classrooms second half of days.  Planned and provided center-wide staff trainings for required inservice hours. Collaborated with staff to meet NAEYC Accreditation standards.

Organized and opened my own in-home family child care.  Provided full-time care, as well as, a part-time morning toddler/preschool program and after school care for school age children.  Managed business aspects of owning a personal business, including filing, recordkeeping, and tax preparation.  Planned and implemented curriculum, meal plans and daily schedules for all aspects of the child care program and school.
