As a substance use and harm reduction specialist, I specialize in developing comprehensive harm reduction curricula for training local establishments. I serve as a facilitator for the Know Overdose Nevada County Coalition, where I coordinate initiatives to raise awareness and prevent opioid overdoses through community engagement and education. My role includes distributing critical supplies such as Narcan and fentanyl testing strips to ensure broad community access and safety. I also conduct extensive training sessions on Harm Reduction, Opioid Overdose Prevention, and Dismantling Drug Related Stigma across various sectors including schools, organizations, businesses, medical providers, event centers, bars, and individual stakeholders. Part of my responsibilities involves conducting research on subjects including substance use, drug treatment effectiveness, and the impact assessment of public health strategies. Additionally, I oversee the graphic design and development of educational materials to enhance community outreach and understanding. My work empowers communities with essential knowledge and resources, fostering safer environments and informed decision-making.

Co-founder and director of Yuba Harm Reduction Collective, I started the first Syringe Service Program in Nevada County, CA in 2020. My overall responsibilities included maintaining general organizational oversight, program and project management, accounting, grant management, hiring, policy creation, 501c3 maintenance, case management for Medication Assisted Treatment, program development for Medication Assisted Treatment, facilitation of recovery support groups, peer support and crisis deescalation, street-based outreach coordination and execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting, and curriculum development around Opioid Overdose Prevention, Harm Reduction, and Stigma.
