I was in charge of making sure that all of the invoices for the hardware and software were reconciled and made sure invoices got paid in a timely manner to our vendors. I identified opportunities to streamline procedures and ways to save money after the Headquarters for the Foods division at Sara Lee was moved to Downer's Grove, IL. During this transition time I identified that the company was losing assets such as cell phones, computers, printers, hand held devices etc. I suggested procedures to implement in order to recoup IT assets during the termination process. I was the key player in saving the company well over a projected $7M+ in aprox 8-12 months for consolidating & streamlining the National wireless accounts.

I was the Executive Assistant to the CIO, 3 Vice Presidents and the local IT Department which consisted of over 70 people. Some of my responsibilities included working on departmental projects, high level executive support responsibilities as well as negotiating & coding and approving all departmental invoices to make sure they were aligned within the budget as well as pulling together meetings and projects. Large corporate event planning and activities was also a huge part of my job. I executed a successful golf outing for 150+ people which raised over $48k for our local United Way campaign as well as many other events throughout the year. These events helped our company to rank in the TOP 5 major corporations in our local campaign that year!
