About Beth Sherman

Compassionate User Experience professional with 10+ years’ experience, dedicated to a human-centered approach to providing the best experience for users and the business. I began my career with a BS in Computer Information Systems, working as a programmer and systems analyst in various industries including systems design and IT consulting. With an increasing awareness of making the end user part of the design process, I returned to school to focus more on user experience and user-centered design. After receiving an MS in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley, I shifted my career to Usability and User Experience Research. Having a deep interest in helping customers achieve success by researching alternative design options within the context of business goals, I have conducted research regarding eCommerce and non-profit websites, retail stores, and new product designs, including B2C and B2B customers from ages 8 to 96. The best part of my work is observing and speaking directly with end users and translating their needs and stories into actionable feedback for the business, designers, and developers. -- Methods: Qualitative and quantitative research at all phases of product design.-- Environment: In person, remote moderated, remote un-moderated, surveys-- Location: Office, Home, Lab, Retail Store-- IT background: technical and logical skills applied to research, understanding technical constraints, survey coding, and data analysis
