This position entails checking books out to students and staff, as well as fulfilling online requests from other universities around the state through Inter Library Loan and Summit Requests. I have experience fulfilling ILL requests and returns, as well as Summit requests and returns. I have experience shelf-reading as well as shelving books.

As a Skills Trainer, I help implement the therapist's plan for the clients. I have worked with clients ages 5-18 with a variety of different backgrounds. I monitor and document their behaviors, conversations, activities, and compliance with medication. I am also there for the clients when they are struggling with a personal issue and aren't able to meet with their therapist. Skills Trainers try to help build everyday skills for the clients, such as maintaining hygiene and eating balanced meals every day. Many of the clients I work with don't understand or don't have the skills built yet to live in their own home. We also help clients develop the necessary skills to control their behavior and reactions to other people's behaviors. Once clients are able to develop and use these skills properly, they are generally able to go home and start living a "normal" life.
