Speech Language Pathologist
CurrentResponsibilities included evaluating and providing speech and language services to children 3-5 years old in HeadStart, PPCD, Pre-K and walk-ins as well as school age children- (5-21 years old) in a public school setting. Other responsibilities include: completing daily Medicaid billing, scheduling, coordinating, preparing and conducting ARD meetings for speech students and completing all associated paperwork within timelines. Other responsibilities include collaborating daily with other school/related service professionals to meet student’s needs, holding staff meetings for students, supervising SLP interns and training new employees on special education system and Medicaid billing.I have training in oral motor and feeding techniques, swallowing disorders, ABA behavioral therapy, SAMA behavior techniques, SCERTS, STAR, Picture Exchange Communication System, play-based assessments, autism, sensory integration techniques, apraxia, basic sign language and Nurturing Program Parenting curriculum. I have been a certified infant massage instructor. I am also certified in Hanen’s It Takes Two To Talk (parent training for developmentally delayed children) and More Than Words (parent training for children with Autism).
