I was honoured to be the Coordinator for the Downtown Eastside Small Arts Grants Program, made possible by a partnership between Vancouver Foundation and Carnegie Community Centre. The Downtown Eastside Small Arts Grants Program is intended for emerging artists who demonstrate a history of original art practice and a vital engagement with the Downtown Eastside Community. With small grants of $500 - $1000, the program is an opportunity for artists to take their practice to the next level.

The Street Vendors Collective was a peer-managed, independent collective of vendors and peer support workers from the Downtown Eastside.Based out of the Carnegie Community Centre, the pilot project offered legal vending opportunities to low-income artists, craftspeople, and entrepreneurs with experience in the informal economy.This pilot project created accessible, legal, low-barrier economic opportunities for participants who preferred self directed work opportunities. The project was generously supported by several City of Vancouver Departments, Vancouver Farmers Market, EMBERS Eastside Works, Downtown BIA, SFU Woodwards Programs & Partnerships, the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre, and various independent summer festivals.

It was amazing to be back at New Works! What a joy to facilitate performances for Dance Allsorts, New Works at Night, Pop Up Dances, and All Over The Map. I promoted community involvement, developed new partnerships, and expanded programs for people to bring the performing arts into their lives. Supporting the trial of the 2022-23 Programming Advisory Committee was a highlight for me. New Works presentations support under represented and emerging artists with professional performance opportunities in highly accessible environments.

Made in BC- Dance on Tour is a non-profit society dedicated to building a culture for dance throughout the province of British Columbia. Our programs create opportunities for people from all over BC to learn about the arts, express themselves creatively and celebrate a shared humanity through dance performance and activities.

As a Community Programmer I facilitated community led services, developed new partnerships, and expanded opportunities for people to participate in Richmond Public Library engagement initiatives. Diwali Fest (formerly Vancouver Celebrates Diwali) is an annual South Asian arts & culture festival celebrating the universal light that exists in everyone. Each year’s festival engages hundreds of artists in events across the city.It was exciting to be a part of a grass roots organization that has enjoyed explosive popularity over the past ten years. The celebration began in one room in the Roundhouse Community Centre in 2004 and has grown to provide workshops, concerts, interactive dance, crafts and celebration at 17 locations in Vancouver and Surrey. My responsibilties included budgeting, recruiting volunteers and employing staff, project management, programming, securing new partnerships, sponsorships, and departmental communications.

As a member of the Stanley Park 125 team, I had the opportunity to provide Production Coordination for the anniversary event on August 24 & 25 2013. Celebrate ! Stanley Park was a free two day celebration for the City of Vancouver to mark 125 years of Stanley Park's history. It was an amazing event to be a part of. Each phase of the project was varied and truly interesting. Responsibilities included waste management, event safety, transportation, security, and departmental communication.

Currently in the seventh season of globally celebrated dance companies DanceHouse is proud to present works at the Vancouver Playhouse. We build the Vancouver dance scene and make work accessible to the public through our low barrier performances and inclusive workshops for every body. Responsibilities included budgeting, planning, and executing local, national, and international travel plans for New Works clients. Concurrently, I was the Project Manager and Programmer for New Works presentations such as All Over the Map, Dance Allsorts, and Pop Up Dances.

Founded in 1973, Vancouver New Music promotes the work of local, national, and international artists through a variety of activities. The organization produces live performances, commissions new works, presents sound installations, and holds other events.Working for Vancouver New Music was an incredible opportunity to expand my experience in live music presentation. Vancouver New Music presents the most interesting and engaging live music performances in Vancouver. I am deeply appreciative of the opportunity to work with such unique professional perfomers.

I coordinated various employees from multiple departments to facilitate the logistical needs of simultaneous events. I was responsible for disseminating pertinent information to all entertainment staff as well as various internal PNE departments. I also has the pleasure of watching the Superdogs show at every available opportunity.
