The Street Vendors Collective was a peer-managed, independent collective of vendors and peer support workers from the Downtown Eastside.Based out of the Carnegie Community Centre, the pilot project offered legal vending opportunities to low-income artists, craftspeople, and entrepreneurs with experience in the informal economy.This pilot project created accessible, legal, low-barrier economic opportunities for participants who preferred self directed work opportunities. The project was generously supported by several City of Vancouver Departments, Vancouver Farmers Market, EMBERS Eastside Works, Downtown BIA, SFU Woodwards Programs & Partnerships, the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre, and various independent summer festivals.

It was amazing to be back at New Works! What a joy to facilitate performances for Dance Allsorts, New Works at Night, Pop Up Dances, and All Over The Map.
