— Internet of things (IOT) has become one of the important latest emerging technologies at present. Home Automation Systems (HAS) is one of the important applications of the IOT.HAS is a technology in which all the home appliances can be remotely controlled using different technologies like Bluetooth, WI-Fi, Zigbee, Android, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Near Field Communication (NFC) and etc. The aim of this project is to co-develop a Connected Smart Home and Safe Home as part of Samslogix team which provides remote control and scheduling of home appliances with the help of Smart Phone or Tablet using Raspberry pi B+, android and ZigBee. The need for Home automation system is not just a standard of living, not just turning light on/off, or not for tech savvy guys. It’s all about security/safety, ease, handiness, energy monitoring and saving. Home Automation can make life at home much easier. For the millions of people affected by disabilities and also the elderly population, it can make a life-changing difference. The solution for the proposed system comes with Raspberry pi B+,SD card, Power card, Wi-Fi router, Light automation, Geyser relay switch, Air- Conditioner relay switch, Intruder detection sensor, door sensor, smoke sensor, hooter, Android app. Along with this cloud integration is provided in our proposed system so that we can remotely control, schedule and manage all our home appliances any time at anywhere in the world through Android App using the Internet via Smartphones.
