Including Vendor and Procurement Management.• Spearheaded the Print and Outdoor Media Publicity Program Management for Navy Day Celebrations in Mumbai (Oct-Dec each year). o Liaised with over 150 government, PSU and private organizations; in addition to the media houses; for effective Naval visibility, each year. o Controlled parallel projects for railway stations, bus back panels, hoardings, bus shelters, airports and multipage advertorials in ten newspapers (English, Hindi, Marathi). o Increased the program size from 3 to12 crores.

New Delhi Area, India

• Maximised availability of up-to-date Indian Navy Web Portals (two for Internet and one on Navy WAN). Technologies used were Linux, ApacheMySQL, PHP (LAMP).• Developed new Indian Navy Website (www.indiannavy.nic.in) through a commercial firm. Executed all project processes from Request For Information (RFI), Tender, Negotiations, Implementation, Audit to roll-out.• Redeveloped one web portal using LAMP technologies and trained the in-house web hosting team.• Collaborated with National Informatics Centre (NIC) and designed web hosting policies for the Navy.• Strengthened the process of security audit of the intranet, with more than 300 nodes.

• Lead production support environment Post Go-Live. • Created Navy benchmarks for ERP support organisation with Annual Maintainance Contracts.• Persistently liaised with various agencies to establish a bio-waste recycling system generating manure.• Made perspective plans and projected staffing requirements for sailors of entire Navy resulting in 20% increase in sanctioned strength of the Navy.• Process re-engineered working of unit CSD canteen. Its quarterly profits quadrupled in two years.

Mumbai

Lead the project implementation as Project Manager to roll out first ERP implementation in Indian Armed Forces (HR module). Involved from setting up infrastructure, sourcing and vetting process specifications, selecting teams, SAP configuration, and authorisations, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), testing, data migration, monitoring, laying standards through to entire life cycle of the project till Go Live. The project also included interfacing SAP with a third party scanning and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software and a LAMP based Employee Self Service (ESS) website. An average of 10 consultants from the implementation partner was deployed with a peak of 28. It was supplemented by a team from Navy (12 member core team and 24 shadow consultants). Such numbers were considered necessary due to the complexity.Other parallel projects had separate teams, with members both from implementation partners and user side.The main achievement of the project was process standardisation. 1244 processes were standardised into 77.

Maintained Indian Navy Payroll on a Unix Platform using Informix C-Isam as database and C programming / Unix Shell programming for Application.Major achievements: -Implementation of the 5th Central Pay Commission in the application.Core User Training.
