Responsible for insuring environmental health and safety compliance within the Company to protect the safety of employees and the general public and provide technical loss control support to production, distribution, and Corporate personnel. Provides oversight and direction to one Corporate Risk Manager, two Environmental Compliance staff, five Regional Risk Managers, in sixty-nine manufacturing Plants and sixty Distribution Centers. Provide direct profit impact by implementing risk management policies, programs and processes within the Company to help reduce accident frequency and severity. Responsible for achieving and maintaining compliance within all regulatory agencies to include EPA, OSHA, & FMCSA/DOT.• Instrumental in development and implementation of EHS orientation and training program to include all OSHA and FMCSA required courses (field responsibility).• Implemented internal audits of all manufacturing and distribution operations using self-scoring Field Compliance Audits (OSHA/QC) and Fleet Safety Assessments (FMCSA) resulting in reduction of frequency (30%) and severity ($1.8 million) in 2012.• Implemented and directed plant safety and fleet management programs that saved in excess of $800,000 in premiums annually.

Complete HR and Risk responsibilities through HR Manager, Director of Safety, Director of Risk Management and staff of five HR employees to include Payroll and Benefits.• Developed complete redesign of HR programs and policies within 3 large entities (M&A) to include health/medical benefits, 401(K ) and Property/Casualty insurance.• Implemented program to replace all “paper” checks with plastic pay cards resulting in significant savings to the Company.• Developed and implemented standardized Companywide Quality Control program to include recall, SSOP, finished product testing and chemical sanitation process. • Developed and implemented internal “Manager Training” Program to identify current and new employees capable of becoming strong plant managers. Eight trainees in place created excellent “bench strength” for the Company.
