I analyzed transactions that occur after a grant has been awarded to the institute. This included verifying and processing changes in effort (salary), reclassifying expenses, reconciling budgets, reconciling procurement cards, tracking the issuance of gift cards, and maintaining compliance across all systems. I also aided project managers in the budgeting process by providing financial impact advice based on my analysis of what total impact budget changes would have on the grant. For example, changes in salary also cause overhead and benefits payment changes.

I gathered actual project cost data for helicopter projects to plug into an estimation model that would estimate job costs for new proposals. I worked closely with the engineers to discuss both material and labor costs and changes that would effect them going forward.
