In a sixteen month period drove loan production of over $14,000,000 and elevated the bank, from literally non-existent to #13 on the Arizona District SBA's list of approved lenders for 1999. During this period the bank surpassed giants such as Wells Fargo & Bank of America. My personal production was in excess of $6,000,000. Named Outstanding Minority Lender for 1999 by the City of Phoenix Economic Development Department.

Co-Program Manager for the Disaster Assistance Program - Over 100,000 businesses were effected by the Northridge Earthquake. Of those, 51,000 were initially declined by the SBA for Disaster Assistance Loans. Directing 17 professional and 14 support staff, we consulted with business owners, prepared and submitted over 12,000 loan appeals to the SBA. 2,600+ were approved on appeal. for a total of $102,000,000 in additional disaster relief. Our team won regional and national recognition for the effort and were referred by the SBA to other communities in need. Most notably, we assisted Oklahoma City following the bombing of the Muir Federal Building. All are familiar with the hollowed out carcass of that structure, however, if you'd turned 180 degrees to face downtown, you'd see how the blast effected over 3,000 businesses in the southeast path of the explosion. Entrepreneurial Training Program - Over a three year period, trained 1,100+ business owners in a 10-week program of entrepreneurship. Named the Outstanding Business Development Program for 1997 by the City of Los Angeles.

Created this role for a struggling $1.6 M local construction company. During the first year: liquidated $450,000 in residential inventory and retired the corresponding debt, restructured $250,000 in short term debt, obtained two SBA loans to complete the corporate headquarters & launch a spin off division, and qualified for the company's first performance bond. With the performance bond in place, won federal, state and county contracts; including, the IRS Forms Distribution Center, Multiple US Post Offices and the El Dorado County Library, all while continuing to exceed company goals for residential construction.

Initially hired as a project engineer for renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Hospital, New York City. When progress on that project was halted due to New York City financial restraints, I joined a team of six to open company operations in Saudi Arabia for the construction of $1.3M in ARAMCO/John's Hopkins medical facilities. My official roll was project scheduling engineer, using Macdonald/Douglas - MCAUTO Scheduling Program for the IBM 360. However, during the initial 6 months in country, I wore many hats, including procuring local housing, transportation & labor, initiating local vendor & subcontractor relations and developing an interface for the ARAMCO IBM 360 that would be used for the duration of the projects.

Attended Texas A&M on a baseball scholarship and participated in the Corps of Cadets. Studied Civil Engineering curriculum with emphasis.

While working as a Project Engineer for the George A. Fuller Co. on the ARAMCO/Johns Hopkins Medical Facilities Projects in Dhahran, Saudi.
